Who is Arsx?

Arsx (Arso) is an independent, high-energy, mask-wearing phenomenon from Burlington Ontario Canada, who's sound is as electrifying as it is experimental. With a sonic identity that melds the raw power of heavy metal vocal techniques and Trap beats into his signature underground sound, Arsx is on a mission to create his own lane in Hip Hop.

 

From a young age, Arsx was surrounded by the thunderous riffs of Slipknot, Korn, and Linkin Park. Their heavy, experimental sounds left an indelible mark on his musical palate, blending seamlessly with the rap music of his childhood which included artists like Eminem, Ice Cube, and Wu-Tang Clan. This eclectic mix of influences set the stage for Arsx’s unique approach to Hip Hop, where gritty beats meet intense, genre-bending experimentation. The discovery of Artists such as XXXTentacion, Denzel Curry, and $uicideboy$ showed Arsx a style of music that made him feel like he could contribute a similar sound to the world.

 

In late 2017 and throughout 2018, Arsx and fellow Burlington artist Kirin Kira would record their first tracks together using a USB mic and a cracked version of Logic Pro in Arsx’s basement. It was here that the name Arsxnyyzst was born, and Arsx took his first steps into the SoundCloud realm.

 

2018 was just the beginning for Arsx and it wasn’t until the very end of the year leading into 2019 that Arsx would release the track “if Mozart Was a Trapstar,” an experiment that earned him over 100,000 plays and set the stage for his future success.

 

In 2019, Arsx crossed paths with Young Dinero Banks, a collaboration that lead him into the world of streaming platforms and brought fresh energy to his craft. Their partnership yielded a string of successful tracks, fueling Arsx’s creative fire even as he grappled with burnout in 2020.

 

By late 2020, Arsx was ready to reinvent himself. Working with producers AVGOTDRIP and Calon Scott (SpookyXIV), he crafted his debut project, “Vendetta.” This was a turning point where Arsx began exploring darker, more experimental soundscapes and introduced his iconic mask, a tribute to Joey Jordison of Slipknot. The mask became more than a persona—it was a symbol of his unique vision.

 

2021 was a breakthrough year for Arsx. Teaming up with producer AVGOTDRIP, the pair set out to enter the underground, Dark Trap scene with a bang. Marked by collaborations with artists like Wavehi, V4Vanquish, and Sadfriendd, hits like “GTR,” “Lyft,” and “OMG” established Arsx as a force to be reckoned with, leading to his best streaming year to date.

 

Summer 2022 was a high point for Arsx as he released two monumental tracks: “Breathe” with Xanakin Skywok and “So Wassup?” featuring Packgod, $atori Zoom, Lex Pain, and Twan Haywood. These tracks catapulted him to a new audience, earning over a million streams and setting the stage for an incredible 2023.

 

In 2023, Arsx's creative energy was unstoppable. With tracks like “FROZE!,” “SET IT OFF,” “Alone at the Club,” and “TAKE NOTES!,” he solidified his reputation as a force in the underground. Each song was a testament to his relentless drive and creativity.

 

In 2024 Arsx is grinding to make the music dream come true. 

He is out here to showcase his talent through innovative mixes, bold instrumentals, and intriguing collaborations. Arsx spends his days working a 9-5, training Muay Thai and Jiu Jitsu, and making songs in his home studio for his fans and as an outlet for his voice. His journey is far from over, and as long as he loves making music, you can count on him to push the boundaries of Hip Hop and continue to surprise and delight fans around the globe.
